Jill Aldape, who lives in Boise, graduated from the University of Idaho with B.A. degrees in Spanish and International Studies. She traveled to the Basque Country as a Fulbright Scholar and studied Basque language and dance.
Upon her return to Boise, she taught Euskara (Basque) classes for beginners at the Basque Museum & Cultural Center, and Spanish classes as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Boise State University.

Aldape is a former dance director, former president, and current member of the Oinkari Basque Dancers of Boise and serves on the board of the Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture. She is a member of a newly-formed Basque folk-rock musical ensemble called Amuma Says No, and she frequently visits cultural festivals throughout the Northwest.
At present, Aldape is employed by Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise as director of events and development within the St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Foundation.
