FOLK & TRADITIONAL ARTS
OVERVIEW
< home

The Folk & Traditional Arts Program documents and assists in the continuation and presentation of the traditional folk arts in Idaho communities. Folk arts are the shared cultural expressions in families, communities, ethnic and occupational groups, tribes, regions, or religions, and are passed on informally, one generation at a time, through oral tradition and practice. (For a list of folk and traditional arts, see the Glossary.)
