Sally Graves Machlis has been a resident of Idaho for 25 years.
She is a faculty member in the
Department of Art and Design at the University of Idaho
where she served as the department chair for four years.
She exhibits her mixed media art works widely----
including the Tacoma Art Museum, WA,
the Yellowstone Museum, MT, the Boise Art Museum, ID,
and other locales in Washington, Idaho, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C.
and Havana, Cuba in the last five years.
Her most recent work is a series of mixed media collages and "books" on handmade paper
based on "family fables" or the words of wisdom passed down through the generations in her family.
The art work includes text, photographs, mementos and painted objects.
