Visual Artist and Public Arts Administrator Karen Bubb is Public Arts Manager for the Boise City Department of Arts & History and Capital City Development Corporation (Boise’s downtown redevelopment agency) in Boise, Idaho. She is also an Affiliate for Boise State University’s (BSU) Centre for Creativity and Innovation in the College of Business and Economics. Bubb consults and provides workshops statewide for municipalities and arts organizations regarding public art, creativity and cultural policy and is an adjunct professor at BSU. Bubb is also an active visual artist. She works in many mediums including stained glass, hand-built ceramics, encaustic painting, printmaking and collage. She teaches small classes in her North End studio. Bubb has a Masters in Public Administration from BSU, a Graduate Certificate in Community & Regional Planning also from BSU, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Oregon. ![]() ![]() Submitted on Thursday, July 20, 2006 |
