Bright, Textural Oil Paintings Born and raised in Idaho, I have developed a deep fascination with the line, color, and texture of experiences, people, places and objects in memories, and the ambiguity between looking and seeing. I explore and alter these images for the canvas. My painting makes use of a process that allows the works to oxidize and change long after I am finished. The creative act is merely to set the paintings in motion. They are about innocence, growth, imperfection, and acceptance. In 2005 I received a Bachelors of Fine Art for painting and photography from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. My paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, including Gallery 154, RCC Gallery, and the Modern Art Event. Recently, I was selected to participate in the Boise Department of Arts and History Artist in Residency Fellows Program and the Traffic Box Project.
