GRAPHIC Commission Activities and Programs
Our Mission: The Idaho Commission on the Arts was established in 1966 to stimulate and encourage throughout the state the study and presentation of the arts, and public interest and participation therein...and to encourage and assist freedom of artistic expression essential to the well-being of the arts.

What we do:

    GRAPHIC Recognize and promote artists and arts organizations
    GRAPHIC Preserve cultural traditions
    GRAPHIC Educate
    GRAPHIC Communicate
    GRAPHIC Promote and encourage the arts in Idaho
    GRAPHIC Provide technical assistance and leadership
    GRAPHIC Outreach
    GRAPHIC Provide funding through grants and awards
    GRAPHIC Partner with local, regional, and national organizations

Commissioners: Thirteen commissioners are appointed by the governor to four-year terms. At-large members are selected by the Commission chair to one-year terms.

Administration & Operations
Includes operational expenses, personnel, meetings, and travel.

Grants & Awards and Programs & Services
Fund organizations, individuals, and educators and offer technical assistance and opportunities for professional growth.
